Live From The Women's Club 2002 |
522 Miles To Go
The Jayhawks never stray far from their Byrds nest of feather smooth harmonies and jangling guitars.
Live From The Women's Club is an all-acoustic performance from Minneapolis on April 26, 2002 featuring the trio incarnation of Tim O'Reagan, Marc Perlman and Gary Louris.
As would be expected, the material easily translates to the sparser treatment and features a representative mix from the band's previous catalog as well as a preview to 2003's Rainy Day Music (Tailspin, Save It For A Rainy Day).
Released as "an official Jayhawks bootleg," it also includes two previously unreleased demos for Smile - Desperate Serenade and Someone Will, which ultimately would become I'm Gonna Make You Love Me.
Live From The Women's Club Volume 2 with the remainder of the show's songs and additional bonus demos was released in 2005.
